Business Partnering

LEIP Eligibility for Business Partners

LEIP Benefits

Game-changing business development opportunities, increased scalability, enhanced growth, access to funding, mentorship from the pros, and connection through LEIP’s platform.

Access to Small Disadvantaged Business / Indigenous Set-Aside Contracts

  • Using LEIP, a business can connect with thousands of indigenous small businesses and contractors who can be used as prime or subcontractors on work bids requiring small disadvantaged business involvement or indigenous engagement.

  • LEIP can find local labor resources in any rural community in which they would like to do business.

  • LEIP and its sisters have a long-standing presence in many indigenous communities and are trusted partners to many indigenous groups. Because of this, we are able to work cooperatively with indigenous groups in ways that businesses with transient contracts in rural regions can’t.

Professional Labor Resources for Project Work

  • HR and Indigenous outreach professionals at your disposal to conduct your local hire job fairs, onboarding, and on-site engagement

  • Contract writing professionals available to assist you in writing proposals for SDB / Indigenous government contracts

  • Partnered logisticians can assist with difficult, complex logistics work to remote regions

To be eligible for LEIP partnership, your corporation, government agency, or non-profit MUST:

  • Have a supplier diversity program or be in the process of starting one

  • Prioritize proactively seeking out Indigenous Peoples participation through LEIP

  • Prioritize implementing diversity goals in your core business

  • Promote LEIP engagements and service capabilities to your supply chain management or purchasing organization

  • Track and record the spend and success metrics of your diversity program to knowledgeably set goals and determine development needs.

  • Have a corporate top-down approach to Indigenous engagement. All levels of a business must be on board, starting with leadership.

Assistance with the Development or Expansion of Your Diversity Program

  • Utilizing the LEIP Advocate Program, to help educate you on the role LEIP can play in helping to achieve your diversity goals, share best practices, and connect to other Corporate Supporters who have diversity programs.

  • Training for procurement and logistics employees within the organization on identifying when to engage LEIP for improved Indigenous engagement. We actively challenge our network to engage LEIP while planning or engaging in Supply Chain decisions – every decision, every day.

  • Leadership development courses and presentations.

  • Connections with other professionals working towards championing diversity in business. Share successes, failures, and lessons learned to create solutions to shared problems.

Small Disadvantaged Business Designation

Each year, the Federal Government awards about 10% of all Federal contract dollars, or roughly $125 billion in contracts, to Small Disadvantaged Businesses.

NGLi works internationally with a wide array of logistics partners on contracts in the Middle East, Canada, and other foreign regions. Because the majority share of NGLi is owned by Tikigaq Native Corporation, NGLi is designated a small, disadvantaged business by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and can accept government contracts allotted specifically for such businesses. The work that the organization does to profit Tikigaq benefits the client, and the shareholders, creating yet another advantage for indigenous people in NGLi’s home state.

  • As any company who operates in majority indigenous regions knows, it is imperative that all projects receive indigenous buy-in. Support from the community in which a project hopes to succeed allows for pleasant interactions with locals and convenient access to local resources and experience.

  • Throughout our decades in the logistics field, we have amassed considerable experience contracting in remote regions and engaging with a variety of cultures. This experience is invaluable when starting a project in a new location. LEIP can be the bridge between a large multinational company with the desire to expand into unknown, remote regions, and the locals in that area, seamlessly connecting local resources to those looking to engage them.

More information about our past experience can be found in the Our Operations tab.

How it works

  • Step 1

    Partner finds contract opportunity.

  • Step 2

NGLi is selected by partner to be prime contractor for the work. NGLi’s SDB designation provides partner a competitive edge.

  • Step 3

Partner can choose to write the proposal or NGLi’s contracts team can write it.

  • Step 4

NGLi’s contracts team Q.A.s the proposal with partner’s team and checks for compliance.

  • Step 5

NGLi provides execution assistance for any elements of the contract that are out of scope for the client. This can include hiring and placement of management, warehousing hiring and training, shipment dispatching hiring and training, property leasing, heavy equipment leasing, etc.

  • Step 6

NGLi is awarded government contract and startup begins with partner controlling the operation and NGLi filling in for support as needed. NGLi continues to management government stakeholders and client expectations.
